MAY 13
O God of justice, we confess that we are too quick at times to judge those around us, basing our opinions not upon what is written in their hearts but what is easily seen by our lazy eyes. Keep us faithful to challenge one another any time we find ourselves speaking in generalities about any group of people or repeating jokes and slurs that offend and degrade. Remind us that all of creation bears the imprint of your face, all people are children of yours, all souls are illuminated by your divine spark. We know that whatever diminishes others diminishes your spirit at work in them. Make us respectful, humble, and open to the diversity around us reflects your divine imagination and creativity.
